FINALS WEEK = SBAC TESTING
FINALS IN ELA AND MATH WILL BE EQUIVALENT TO STATE TESTING OR THE SBAC. The testing schedule is as follows:
June 1: ELA 7 & 8
June 2: ELA 7 & 8
June 8: Math 7 & 8
June 9: Math 7 & 8
June 10-11: Math 7
June 14-15: Math 1 End of course exam
We will TEST STRONG at Fern Bacon. Check your grades in Infinite Campus to see where you stand at all times.

THEME: “Rise Up and Fly Away”
Our theme song for this year is “Fly Away” by Tones and I. In the song, she says,

CALLING ALL FAMILIES: STUDENT RETURN FORM NEEDED BY OR ON MARCH 17, 2021.
Sac City Unified is preparing to reopen schools and is requesting that each family select how you plan to return to school for the remainder of the school. Please take a minute to make a choice. There are two options families may choose.
The 1st CHOICE is if you wish your child to return to In-Person learning for two days a week at school in combination with 3 days of Distance Learning.

Thank you to all the families who have taken the time to fill out the following LCFF form. This helps our school maximize our district funding. In 2018-2019 we had 93% of our families complete this form. Last year we only had 88% of our families complete this form and as a result of -5% of parents not turning in the form, we lost $40,000. Currently, we have received only 55% of these forms and in danger of losing much more funding.

Online Application Goes Live Nov. 16, 2020-Dec. 17, 2020 for the Academic School Year 2021-2022
The High School Specialty Program Application is an opportunity for any 8TH GRADE student who resides permanently within the boundaries of the Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) to apply for enrollment in a SCUSD high school specialty program, based on space availability for the 2021-2022 school year. SCUSD offers specialty programs at both our neighborhood and small specialized high schools.

NEW STUDENT ENROLLING AT FERN BACON MIDDLE SCHOOL?
All enrollment for our school district is completed at the ENROLLMENT CENTER. Unfortunately, their doors are closed due to COVID-19 but can be reached online.
Permit Transfer Requests for the 2020-2021 School Year
The Enrollment Center is no longer accepting Intra and Inter-district Permits for the 2020-2021 School Year. The deadline to submit was May 1, 2020 at 5:00pm. Due to the COVID-19 issue their response times may extend into the month of June.
